San Francisco Pier 39 Restaurants
Native
San Franciscans deplore the crowded and touristy pier 39. But amongst the
schlock, the gauche and the carnival like atmosphere, there is a charm to
pier 39. We also believe it’s an excellent place to bring young
children. Don’t expect gourmet food, but then again the experience is
memorable.
If you
drive, park at the pier 39 garage. Most restaurants validate one hour of
free parking for lunch and two hours of free parking for dinner. You
can also get to Pier 39 by the F Market streetcar Line. We have
assembled some additional information on our
Pier 39 district site.

This Forrest Gump inspired Restaurant is a casual family seafood house
with average food. This is a good place to bring children but prices are
not cheap.

menu.

Great clam chowder but mediocre and somewhat pricey seafood, steaks and
pasta. Outdoor heated deck.
Eagle Cafe

destinations, expect to pay above market prices.
Forbes Island

H-Dock
www.forbesisland.com
This is a great pier 39 restaurant to bring the kids. The island is
actually a fixed boat with an underwater view. This is an experience which
you’ll remember, and for that reason a recommended choice. The ferry to
Forbes island departs from the west marina gate H. Reservations are
strongly recommended.
