San Francisco
Fisherman's
Wharf Restaurants
Fisherman’s wharf offers some of San
Francisco’s most touristy restaurants, and at the same time, one of San
Francisco’s finest restaurants. (Gary Danko) When in season one of the best treats,
enjoyed by locals and tourists alike, are Dungeness Crabs. For under
$25.00, you can enjoy a crab dinner.
The heart of fisherman’s wharf is the
intersection of Jefferson & Taylor street (fisherman’s wharf).
“Fisherman’s wharf restaurants” are ok (but not great), with most being
about equal.
A benefit for drivers is three hours of free
parking validation offered by sit down restaurants within fisherman’s
wharf, and one hour parking from outdoor crab shacks. San Francisco
transit is an even more convenient way to visit fisherman's wharf and pier
39, using the Historical "F Market" streetcar line .
